He will be sharing his experiences dealing with risk mitigation and crisis management, including while he served as the President and CEO of EnergySolutions, Inc. (NYSE), a global nuclear services company specializing in decommissioning nuclear facilities and safely managing radioactive materials. After the Fukushima Japan earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster, EnergySolutions was chosen to assist in the clean-up effort of more than 160,000 tons of contaminated water from the Fukushima Dai-Ichi Nuclear Power Plant. Val will talk about how a board may anticipate enterprise risks and how he structured and implemented effective crisis avoidance and risk management systems.
