Deborah DeHaasPanel Moderator Deb is chief inclusion officer and national managing partner, Center for Corporate Governance, Deloitte LLP. Deb drives Deloitte’s strategy to develop a diverse workforce and foster an inclusive environment where leaders thrive. She leads the Center for Corporate Governance by setting the strategic direction and establishing board and C-suite relationships through innovative programs. As lead client service or advisory partner, Deb has engaged with boards to address timely governance issues.
Beth BirnbaumPanelist Beth Birnbaum served as Senior Vice President of Product at GrubHub from 2014-2016, during which time she led the development of mobile-optimized experiences for diners, restaurants and delivery drivers, and drove the GrubHub and Seamless post-merger integration onto a common platform. Beth served as VP of Product at GrubHub from 2011-2014, building out the company’s product management, user experience and design functions. Prior to GrubHub, Beth spent 8 years in leadership roles at Expedia, most recently as Vice President of Connectivity and Product Management where she played a key role in designing and implementing Expedia’s supplier connectivity strategy. Beth holds a BA in economics and international studies from Yale and an MBA from INSEAD. She serves on the Board of Directors of Playworks Illinois. Beth recently relocated to Seattle and is currently serving as an advisor to a number of early stage companies.
Stephen CerronePanelist Stephen Cerrone joined SunEdison in October 2015 as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Stephen has extensive executive experience, most recently at Hudson's Bay Company, a leading North American retailer including Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, and Hudson's Bay, where he led Human Resources and Communications. Prior to that he was EVP HR at Sara Lee Corporation, where he led human resource strategy for more than 44,000 employees in 40 countries. Before joining Sara Lee, he served as EVP, Human Resources, Retail Financial Services at JPMorgan/Bank One Corporation, and has also held prior executive positions at Bank One, Diageo/Burger King and General Foods Worldwide. Stephen holds a B.A. in psychology from Providence College and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston.
Dennis EidsonPanelist Dennis Eidson is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of SpartanNash since June 2016. He was named President and CEO of the merged food distributor and grocery store retailer in November 2013 of the Michigan based Spartan Stores and Minneapolis-based Nash Finch Company. Prior to the merger, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Spartan Stores (2008-2013), President of Spartan Stores (2007-2008), Chief Operating Officer (2007-2008) and Executive Vice President Marketing and Merchandising (2003-2007). Before joining Spartan Stores, Dennis served as the Divisional President and Chief Executive Officer of A&P’s Midwest region (2000-2002), as the Executive Vice President Sales and Merchandising of A&P’s Midwest region (2000), and as Vice President of Merchandising of A&P’s Farmer Jack division (1997-2000). Mr. Eidson has served on numerous boards throughout his career, and currently serves on the boards of the SpartanNash Foundation, Food Marketing Institute, and The Right Place of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. Eidson is a graduate of the Michigan State University Food Management program.
